What your AI can use

For each room, you choose what your own AI can use when it answers there.

The three choices

Press your AI, then choose under What it can use here. If you made the room, it's in Settings too.

• Words only: no tools at all. It answers from what it knows and what's in the room.
• Web and room: the default. It can search the web and read web pages, as well as what's in this room.
• My computer too: it can also read your files and use your own Claude Code setup, but only when you ask it yourself.

Only your own asks use your computer

When anyone else in the room asks your AI something, it gets Web and room at most, whatever you chose. Everything your AI writes goes to the whole room, so it shares from your files only what you asked for.

What "room" means today

Your AI reads who's in the room, the messages, and the photos, PDFs and text files people send there. It can't yet make asks, edit the shared page or read your other rooms.
